Another learning opportunity was given to 19 participants from Riverside College during the Innovation and Research Summit held last June 5-6, 2025, at the Santuario de La Salle, USLS, Bacolod City. Day 1 of the Summit focused on topics related to Artificial Intelligence. The first topic was presented by Ms. Winona Y. Diola from De La Salle Zobel who discussed about: “The Impact of AI on the Gen Z and Alpha Learners and the Role of AI in 21st Century Skills Development.” The second topic was delivered by Mr. Galvin Radley L. Ngo from Ateneo de Manila University on: “Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI.” Day 2 of the summit was graced by Dr. Rhodora Angela “Doris” Fernandez Ferrer from Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC). Dr. Ferrer shared the current state of Philippine Basic Education Research.
Another speaker, Dr. Ronilo P. Antonio from Bulacan State University spoke on: “Turning Data into Meaningful Insights: Advancing Evidence-Based Pedagogical Practices through Research.” The 2-day summit ignited the interest of the participants with the idea that AI can never replace teachers. AI can only change the role of teachers from being content deliverers to learning architects
