The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program equips students with a broad spectrum of training that may lead to employment, principally in higher education institutions, community drug stores, hospitals, government agencies, research establishments, public health, and in the pharmaceutical industry. Students may also choose to continue with Medical education with an edge as they become competent and knowledgeable in biochemical mechanisms and actions of drugs, therapeutic roles, side effects, potential drug interactions, and monitoring parameters essential to produce professionals who are able to effectively communicate specialized knowledge on safe and effective medication use to patients.
The following outcomes reflect the terminal skills that all BS Pharmacy graduates should be able to demonstrate upon program completion:
1. Demonstrate effective interpersonal written and verbal skills in providing high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care in cooperation with patients, prescribers, and members of the inter-professional health care team.
