Admissions and Scholarships Officer Helen Joy Azucena chose to highlight the Riverside College core value of Excellence: “Today, we have our honors’ assembly not only to give recognition to those who worked hard in the pursuit for excellence, but to remind every one of us here what excellence truly means for Riverside College. We aim to inspire our students to always strive for excellence not only in academic pursuits. We work to offer our students a venue for training to become excellent in all aspects of their lives – may it be in their student life, or in life after college.”
In her closing remarks, she turned to the students and addressed them: “May you always strive for excellence not only to be recognized or awarded. May you pursue excellence because you believe in not settling for anything else.”
Riverside College employees were also recognized for their service to the school and the Riverside community.
